I love WPR, but I wish this app worked a little better. The volume is difficult to get high enough and it quits a lot. We can't get it to keep playing on our Amazon Alexa anymore. I've tried all the recommended fixes and it is still quitting multiple times per hour when I'm listening to morning edition. It does fine with podcasts, but not live shows.

I love Wisconsin Public Radio. That said, I'm disappointed that I couldn't give this app a 5 star review. Problems: Not everything is easy to find. The introduction commercial plays at random times and every freaking time I open the app - even after the app crashed and I reopened it. The app doesn't switch easily from WiFi to 4g and when it does, I get that commercial again. i know I'm listening to WPR! I know it's listener supported!

revised in 2025: works great. old review: I can get this one to work, but the old version was much better. Now, it's really busy. Sometimes, the menu disappears, so I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to make it come back so I can access on demand. Sometimes, when I click on the app, it just automatically starts streaming live, even though I didn't ask it to. It's a lot more work to get to where I want. I trust they will fix it soon.
